Virgin Mountain


A story about a middle aged man named Fúsi, who hasn’t found the courage to leave the nest and step into the adult world. He is moving around his everyday life as if he was asleep, routine is the only thing keeping him afloat. When a different woman at the same age as Fúsi and a 8 year old girl unexpectedly step into Fúsi’s life, he is forced to spread out his wings and see where the wind takes him.

Virgin Mountain wins Nordic Council Film Prize

The Icelandic director Dagúr Kari has made the best Nordic movie of the year. Last night ’Virgin Mountain’ was rewarded the Nordic Council Film Prize in competition with among others the Danish candidate, Bille August’s “Silent Heart”.
