Mia is at odds with everything. School is going badly, and her mother is constantly on her back. Mia is only at peace when she is running – something she does very well. On the main shopping street of Copenhagen, Mia encounters Zack. Zack belongs to a group of youngsters who make a living from pick pocketing and are trying to raise money for a place of their own – a place without adults. Mia joins them and falls in love with charming Zack. However, internal strife puts a strain on the freedom and joy of the group. Thus, Mia must decide if she wants to keep running from her problems or face them head on. “Bora Bora” is a film about having the courage to follow one’s dreams – a film driven by love, dancing, action and lots of great music!
